many dedicated fisherman. Come enjoy cross-country and downhill skiing,
snowmobiling, snow shoeing and ice skating!

While shopping, ask the store managers the history of their building -
you may be surprised to find yourself in the former Ashland National
Bank or another historic location.
The community's pride in its
history culminated in the formation of the Ashland Mural Committee in
1997. The work of business people, artists, historians and teachers has
produced five striking works of art. Each mural highlights a particular
aspect of Ashland's history. Dhooge's Store Mural, 211 Chapple Avenue,
displays a turn-of-the-century grocers. The Lighthouse and Lumberjack
Murals depict the equal legacies of water and woods that have shaped
this northern Wisconsin community. Be sure to stroll through Ashland's
