Welcome to Mellen, WI!

The home of Copper Falls State Park, Mellen is situated on the Bad River and is positioned next to the beautiful, wooded hills of the Penokee Mountain Range and the Chequamegon National Forest.  Mellen is a bustling community of about 1000 people and is noted for a variety of outdoor activities.  This inland city provides the services and hospitality you have learned to expect in Northern Wisconsin.

Nearby, an abundance of pristine lakes and miles of trout streams supply anglers with a variety of fishing experiences year 'round.  This area is a paradise for  the hunter.  Large numbers of deer, black bear, small game, ruffed grouse, ducks, and geese await the hunter for the fall season.  Historic sites and structures include the Mellen City Hall, a restored Victorian structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The City Government, Mellen Historical Society and Mellen Museum are located here.
