with live performances "under the big top" June through

Bayfield's newest historical attraction, the Bayfield Maritime Museum,
located near the waterfront in downtown Bayfield. This museum presents
150 years of Bayfield's maritime heritage: commercial fishing, boat building
traditions, lighthouses, marine equipment, boats, shipwrecks and much
more! Autumn brings glorious fall colors and the famous Bayfield Apple
Festival. From Thanksgiving till New Year's, Bayfield celebrates an
"Old-Fashioned Christmas" with special events each weekend.
Winter brings cross-country and alpine skiing, snowmobiling and dog
sledding; February Frolics, Run On Water, Blue Moon Ball, ice fishing
and car ice races. Spring arrives officially with the Apple Blossom Run
in late May. Take home a "Taste of Bayfield" from the orchards
and farms; smoked of pickled fish or fresh trout and whitefish from the
cool waters of Lake Superior.
